2023年11月29日（水）12:30～13:10、東京工業大学大岡山キャンパスにある学生交流施設Taki Plazaにて、学生が社会への関心を高めるイベント「生成系AIの社会課題」を開催しました。
お昼休み時間でしたので学生が気軽に参加でき、学部１年生から大学院博士課程の生徒まで、現地参加25名とZoomでのオンライン参加51名の計76名が集まりました。急速な技術革新を起こしている生成系AIの社会的な課題について、講師のデータサイエンス・AI全学教育機構の鈴木健二特任教授が解説しました。未解決の社会問題や関連する技術について学生から活発な質問があり、大盛況のイベントでした。
今回のイベントは、誰しもが理解しやすいように、生成系AIの社会課題についての導入部分のみです。詳しく学びたい方は、4Q（2023年12月6日） から新規開講する大学院生対象の先端データサイエンス・AI第三 （DSA.A503)、先端データサイエンス・AI発展第三（DSA.A603）を受講ください。現代の情報社会における倫理的・法的・社会的課題を自ら考えられることを目的とし、AI倫理、ガバナンス、プライバシー、セキュリティ、説明可能なAI、公平性、生成系AIなどについて7回の講義にて学べます。
On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 12:30 to 13:10, we held the event “Social Issues of Generative AI” at Taki Plaza, a student exchange facility on the Ookayama campus of Tokyo Institute of Technology. Since it was during the lunch break, students were able to easily participate in the event, which attracted about 25 on-site and 51 via Zoom online, total 76 participants, ranging from first-year undergraduate students to doctoral students in the graduate school. The lecturer, Kenji Suzuki, Specially Appointed Professor at the Center of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, explained the social issues of generative AI, which is undergoing rapid technological innovation. The event was a great success, with students actively asking questions about unsolved social issues. This event is only an introduction to the social issues of generative AI so that everyone can easily understand it. If you would like to learn more, please take Advanced Data Science and AI III (DSA.A503) and Progressive Advanced Data Science and AI III (DSA.A603) for graduate students, which will be newly offered from 4Q (December 6, 2023). Aiming to enable students to think about ethical, legal, and social issues in today’s information society, the course will cover AI ethics, governance, privacy, security, explainable AI, fairness, and generative AI in seven lectures.
