特別イベント「見えない不調を科学する～生理痛・PMSの実態～」【開催案内】
Special Event: “Understanding Invisible Health Issues through Science – The Reality of Menstrual Pain and PMS”
こんにちは！
突然ですが、誰かが「頭が痛い」という理由で授業を頻繁に休んでいたら、みなさんはどう感じますか？「自分は頭が痛くても頑張っているのに…」と思うでしょうか。
ある人が「平気」と感じることが、他の人にとっては「とてもつらい」ことである可能性は十分あります。逆に、自分が「つらい」と感じることでも、他の人には「そうでもない」ということもあります。本イベントでは、痛みの感じ方の個人差や、他者への共感の大切さを考えるきっかけとなるような内容をご用意しています。
今回はそんなイベントの第一弾として、統合から1年を迎えたScience Tokyoで初めて、「生理」をテーマに扱います。株式会社ツムラによる生理・PMSに伴う症状による日常への影響を可視化する展示や、生理痛を疑似体験できる装置「ピリオノイド（提供：株式会社リンケージ）」を使用し、“見えない不調”を体感する機会を提供しますので、ぜひお気軽にご参加ください！

【注意事項】
・生理痛の疑似体験は、先着70名（学生優先）です。受付で整理券をお渡しします。
職員の方は、空きがある場合に体験いただけます。
・生理痛の疑似体験を希望される方は、シートを地肌に貼っていただきますので、上下分かれる服装でお越しください。
・イベントの展示（生理痛の疑似体験を除く）は、どなたでも自由にご覧いただけます！お気軽にお越しください。
・時間内の途中参加や入退出は自由です。

Special Event: “Understanding Invisible Health Issues through Science – The Reality of Menstrual Pain and PMS”
Hello!
A sudden question: If someone frequently misses class because of “headaches,” how would you feel? Would you think, “I push through even when I have a headache…”?
What one person considers “fine” may be “very difficult” for another. Conversely, what you find “difficult” may be “not so bad” for someone else. This event offers content designed to encourage reflection on individual differences in pain perception and the importance of empathy for others.
As the first installment of this event series, Science Tokyo—celebrating one year since integration—will address the theme of “menstruation” for the first time. The event will feature an exhibition by TSUMURA & CO. that visualizes the impact of menstruation and PMS-related symptoms on daily life, as well as the menstrual pain simulation device “Periodnoid” (provided by Linkage,Inc.), offering an opportunity to experience “invisible health issues” such as pain. Please feel free to join us!

Important Notes
• The menstrual pain simulation experience is limited to the first 70 participants (students have priority). Numbered tickets will be distributed at the reception desk. Faculty and staff may participate if space is available.
• Those wishing to experience the menstrual pain simulation should wear separates (top and bottom), as the pad will be applied directly to the skin.
• The event exhibition (excluding the menstrual pain simulation experience) is open to everyone! Please feel free to drop by.
• You are free to join partway through or leave at any time during the event hours.
*This event will be conducted in Japanese only.
